A wide stretch of protected coastline at golden hour

Tidewater · San Diego

Protecting the coast we share.

Tidewater Coastal Conservancy restores beaches and wetlands, monitors the water we swim in, and helps neighbors speak up for the shoreline — backed by local science and community hands.

Our mission

A healthy coast is a shared responsibility — and a shared inheritance.

Founded in 2007, Tidewater works across the beaches, tidal wetlands, and the watershed that feeds them. We believe the coast recovers fastest when good science meets the people who live beside it. So we restore habitat, track water quality in the open, teach the next generation, and turn local evidence into smarter coastal policy.
